My opinion on weapon design is to watch a couple videos of trained swordsmen use and talk about swords. My favorite channel on YouTube is called “Sellsword arts” and they are excellent at explaining how swords work, are used, and their methods of using them in historically accurate combat, aka HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts)
