You left out the most crucial part of this which is asking God for His wisdom & discernment directly in prayer! We can often get into trouble with our own idiocy within & misunderstand His Word, some opened & closed; doors may be in appearance only or has a timing when He'll open it up so asking Him if it's a snare from the devil is advised, godly counsel is good but can be a huge snare so doing these things & then fact checking it all with God in private prayer with James 1:5 as a guide. Pastors RARELY teach that verse. Go figure God will expose their heresies
