To people who support Palestine, the Zionist notion that saying “Free Palestine” is antisemitic is nothing short of absurd. But to them, a “free” Israel is one where they can either displace or kill as many Palestinians as they’d like without repercussion. Examples of this include the Nakba or, more recently, Trump’s plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza. So, when people call for a free Palestine, they believe that they are calling for the inverse of this to happen. They are scared that Palestinians would do to them what they have been doing to Palestinians for decades. The concept of a truly democratic state with equal rights and political representation for both Jews and Arabs are incomprehensible to them, for they are blinded by hate.
