I understand her, I kinda could tell she was confused with beliefs and would change to another religion.

A bit

I often have this "flip-flop" effect with clearly defined labels.
Gender, sexuality, religion, etc.
Because my perspective changes frequently.

you f**ked up your chance with the 72 virgins, to have 72 genders

I am a woman

I know but you have identified as other genders and ages. you are just confused, I kinda doubted that you completely believed in Islam

The stuff with ages wasn't actually serious

If I'm being honest I'm confused on what path is right for me in any sense
I think the only thing that's clear to me is that I'm a woman and always have been - honestly my reason for not being a woman might have just been that I wanted to rebel against those who caused me harm.

to be dead honest, I never felt the same way. but pretty sure dome (mistyped "some") people would understand you much better than I can

And I did completely believe in Islam

It's only been a few weeks since my faith has been wavering
I often change what feels right to me because I feel that I am not good enough for the label (general, not religion specific), that I don't try hard enough so I don't belong in it.

sometimes I actually feel like I should just change identity and make new connections

That's kinda part of the struggle I have but in real life and repetitively

Only the woke Christian churches have 72 genders

conservative protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox churches only believe in 2 genders

I am so confused

Title cut off.

What it's supposed to say:

It's not because there is any fault in Islam, but I frequently find myself struggling to be the most holy as I can under its restrictions. All respect to any Muslim, though.

if you're looking for a way to stick with a religion that feels right - (ofc you know I'm an atheist so take this with a grain of salt) - might I recommend taking a step back from "typical" religions?

it seems reasonable to me that if there IS a god or higher power, it's nothing we'd know about or understand in the slightest. especially not formally in an "organized" religion. on top of this do you know how many of these there are? thousands. tens of thousands. maybe even hundreds of thousands. I don't see how you can just "pick" in your lifetime since you can't try every one.

so

my thought, is what if you "prayed" or "reached out" to something in a more ambiguous way? if there's a god, and it's comfortable with interacting with humanity at all, why not let it approach you? teach you more about it? after all, you can't be expected to believe a deity simply because you're told to, or taught. rather I hear it's supposed to be a personal thing. and what's more personal than discovering them yourself?

My struggles might just be desperation to fit in because I hate feeling like an outsider
I hate being perceived as "weird"
I just want to be normal
I crave labels because everybody who always seems to have several clearly defined ones

I want to be able to love properly and to know what/who I love
To be happy
To find a religion that suits me
To find a style that makes me feel comfortable
To discover who I truly am

I want to be accepted

And trust me. I know how it feels to have genuinely no idea who or what you are, nor what you're doing. It seems to me like discovering that is a LIFELONG journey. You're not just gonna know like that. I think if ANYBODY starts looking in to things deeply at all, they'll find that they don't know who they are either. The fact that you're introspective enough to pursue this line of thought in the first place is a good thing

THIS.
So real vro

First of all i dont really understand wanting to "fit in", ive always been pretty proud of not doing so.

Second, you are NOT going to "discover who you are" by trying to slap labels on yourself. In my experience that makes it worse. Have a one on one with YOURSELF. If you wanna figure out who you actually are, I'd scrap trying to fit in, at least for now

I've been made fun of a lot for not "fitting in" and the most mature always people seem to fit in

Well the way I see it you can either lie to yourself and try to fit in, or find yourself and probably not do so

like I said
nobody really does and I think it's a lifelong pursuit to know yourself, if you even manage to at all.

I feel like I once knew but it got pushed so far down that I don't even know the first way to find it
1 up, 3d
that or the dunning kruger effect got to you

"the newer you are to something, the more you think you know." somebody picking something up for the first time will feel like a master before long, only to be crushed by the "valley of despair" when they realize they don't know shit.

perhaps as you began to pay more attention to who you were you thought you had a good idea, and then quite soon learned otherwise

do keep in mind that the valley of despair is a necessary step to the "path of enlightenment". actual understanding and knowledge. and a much more gradual increase in confidence.

hence my it takes a lifetime statement
