*Rusty walks up to the broadcasting room of the radio tower and knocks on the door while Alastor is finishing up a broadcast*

*He pauses the broadcast*

*Rusty walks inside, her armored bust emitting small chirping sounds as Birdie happily munches on birdseed within*

"Greetings, darling. I have missed you."

*Rusty smiles softly at Alastor, a very rare gesture for her*

*He smiles back* As did I, my dear

(Yeah! As long as she can call him Al if she wants)

*Rusty's expression shifts from happiness and longing to intrigue as she comes closer*

"How did your broadcast go, my love? I am listening."

Quite well, My dear Rue, I was just finishing up

"Well, that is good. I spent my time training Birdie with some new tricks."

*Rusty's bust opens up to reveal a spacious little living space for Birdie, with the bird inside, who steps up to the edge. Rusty places a finger there*

"Birdie, can you step up?"

*Birdie does as she's asked, stepping onto Rusty's finger. Rusty praises the bird and holds up a hellnut*

"Good girl, Birdie! You have earned this."

*Rusty gives the hellnut to Birdie, who eats it happily as she's placed back in Rusty's chest cavity. Rusty continues to speak, this time to Alastor*

"As you can see, I have been using hellnuts as encouragement and rewards for Birdie to help with her training."

Impressive *He smiles*

*she just hugs him from behind, her head going into his neck*

*his eyes slightly widen in surprise and he blushes*

*looks up at him* why didn't you spend time with me..?

*He clears his throat to recover from the surprise, face still red* You know get busy when I'm doing my broadcast darling

*He pulls her into his lap, nuzzling her*
