Adaptive difficulty means the game is designed to leave you on your last bullet like you’re always barely surviving, and it adjusts the enemy based on how well you’re playing.
Sounds cool in theory, but in practice that just means the boss fights are basically bullet sponges. There’s not much strategy or skill to them, you just unload every weapon you have until you’re down to your last bullets and the boss dies. It doesn’t feel cinematic, it just feels forced. BECAUSE IT IS.
If I wanted to make my game harder, I could have just picked that in the main menu. I don’t need you making that choice for me.
