it really depends if it is safe or not. and if it is not safe then if there is a safe place to go to.
but more information is likely needed. like; how old are you, if your too young (i.e early teens) they might just wave it off. if you are older (late teens early twentys) it likely is still good to tell them but not entirely nessisary.
just keep in mind if they are right in the head they should love you no matter what.
