I'm in a private school and I'm in AP math. Yes, that is honors math, and you can get college credits for it.

first of all, there is no general “ap math” class. there are ap classes in the math field such as ap calculus, ap statistics, and ap precalc, but no “ap math”.
second, ap and honors classes are not exactly the same. yes, they are similar, but not exactly the same.
