Cross sits on the bed, listening to the sounds of fighting from Joseph's chambers. The sound of yelling coming from the back of his mind can be heard as the poor girl tries to regain control.
Jewel: When I get my hands on you, you’re dead! Those people down there are here to save me. I know it! And once I’m free I’ll-
Cross: You’ll what? Go back to your dad?
Jewel stops talking.
Cross: Or maybe you’ll ask them “Please adopt me! I have nowhere to go!” But they won’t listen. They’re only after one thing and it’s not you. So if you think about it, I’m the only person that cares about you right now. I’m all you have left, so you better behave yourself or I’ll abandon you just like your old friends…
No answer. Cross smiles to himself.
Cross: Good. Now let's say hi to our guests.
He says getting up from the bed and downstairs. Meanwhile, Heather and the rest of the gang were sneaking around the castle.
Heather: Anything, Topaz?
Topaz closed her eyes and tried to sense the people around them.
Topaz: Nothing right now… Where should we go from here?
Spark: Well… we have to go to the top, which I think is where Matt is fighting the king… so I would recommend taking the stai-
Linda: G-go right!
Everyone turns to Linda confused.
Heather: Lin Lin?
Linda: G-go right! I … I have a good feeling about it!
Everyone glances at each other and they decide to walk to the room on the right until Topaz suddenly freezes. She tried to stop the others but she couldn’t find the right words in order to express herself until…
Guards: FREEZE! NO ONE MOVE!
Multiple guards create a barrier around them in order to block the way and surround the group.
Linda: I-I’m sorry Lady Heather… B-but I can’t let you g-get to Cross…
Heather: Damn it, she’s brainwashed?
Spark: Seems like it…
Linda starts apologizing constantly as she was taken away by the guards, leaving everyone else behind. The three look at each other, worried about the current situation. One of the guards walks towards them
Guard 1: Alright you three. You can either go in willingly or-
Suddenly he falls down. Spark and Topaz look at where he landed to reveal that his foot went through a shadow, causing him to trip. Heather quickly puts her fan out and grabs her bat from the shadow casted by it, and smacks the guard across the face with it.
Heather: Alright let's bail! Now!
The two ran with her in order to get away from the guards, throwing things in their path to slow them down, but the castle was on high alert.

Guards swarmed all sides until they were surrounded again. No shadow to save them this time.
Topaz: …I-I’m sorry for putting you all in this…?
Spark: Why are you apologizing? No one here is to blame other than Cross.
Heather looks down, disappointed she couldn’t do much either but Spark elbows her
Spark: Hey. Once we knock down that stupid Angel, we’ll get the Linda we all know and love back
Heather: …Thanks Spark.
Guards: DO NOT TALK DOWN ON LORD CROSS!
They yelled out, pointing their spears at them. It looks like the end but… they hear whistling. The guards turn around and see two more intruders just strolling in.
Fox: Oh! This isn’t the bathroom!
Guards: Hey who the hell are you?
Fox: I’m so sorry! We must have taken a wrong turn! Let's go, Eren!
The guards hold up their weapons as they turn around
Guards: You’re not going anywhere! Put your hands up!
Eren and Fox smirk at each other and hold up their hands, turning back around to face the guards.
Fox: Oh don’t worry, officers. We’re not armed… However… we don’t need to be.
Eren holds one finger out like a gun as Fox signals for Spark, Topaz, and Heather to duck.
Eren: Bang.
A sudden yet thin blast of energy shoots through multiple guards, causing them to fall to the ground lifeless. Spark, who was covering Topaz’s eyes, shoots a thumbs up at Eren.
Spark: Where have you been?
Eren: I was taking a nap. Sorry for being late.
Spark: No pressure. You can make it up by getting Violet and then meeting us back at the top.
Eren: Got it! Let's go, Dad!
Fox: Alright. You kids stay safe.
The three nod as they run up the stairs.
Topaz: Those two seem… unusual.
Heather: Oh, sister, you have no idea.
Back to Eren, She was running up the stairs and looking through all the rooms.
Eren: Wow this place is big! I wonder which room she could be in…? I hope the beds are comfy!
Fox: You’re talking like you’re going to try and sleep in one.
Eren: Of course I am! I got to sleep like a queen at least once in my life!
Fox: Don’t you always do that?
The father - daughter duo keep walking until they hear the sound of vomiting coming from a room. They knock on the door and wait for an answer
Violet: …Go away, Joseph.
Eren: Who?
Violet suddenly perks up.

Violet: That voice… a feminine sounding chick that sounds like she’s forced to wake up to be here… Eren!
She opens the door, wiping some blood off her mouth.
Violet: Wait if you’re here, then does that mean Matt is also here? Where is he?
Eren: Hey calm down! We gotta get you out of here first before-
???: Out where?
The three turn around and see Cross in Jewel’s body. He’s waving innocently but Fox can tell that somethings up.
Fox: …So it’s you. You’re the ex boyfriend of Angel.
Cross frowns and points at him.
Cross: So you know who I am? Well then… that must make you the most dangerous out of these three.
In an instant, He slams Fox into the wall and starts trying to strangle him, but to Cross’s annoyance, He doesn’t feel a thing.
Fox: So… did you always have a thing for young girls? How old was Angel when you first met her?
Cross: You piece of-
He tries to punch Fox, but the fist is caught by a wide awake Eren, staring down at him with murderous intent.
Eren: You get one more chance.
Cross jumps away as the three stand on one corner while the angel stands on another. After finally getting a good look at each other, Jewel, in her mind, and Eren realized something… Their Eyes…
Eren and Jewel: …You’re like me.
Cross: …Hm I see… You must have been born with the same phenomenon as the child. This might be harder than I thought.
He snaps his fingers and stands there as Eren takes a fighting stance. They stare at each other for a couple seconds… something’s off.
Cross: Aren’t you going to attack me?
Eren: Not until you take off that barrier.
Cross is taken aback by this while Violet and Fox are confused.
Violet: What barrier?
Fox: Are you blind? He’s wide open.
Eren: Of course you don’t see it since your eyes aren’t as observant. He has a thin barrier around him that seems to be made out of fire. If I don’t play this safely, I might get burnt into a crisp.
Cross starts to sweat. This was the first time someone was actually able to see it. But in the middle of Eren’s explanation, He dashes to punch Eren, only to be met with a dodge and a blast behind the back of her head, sending them up in the air and intervening the fight Matt was having against Joseph
Matt: Hey watch where you’re aiming, dumbass!
Eren: Sorry sorry!

She says laughing before dodging a fireball from Cross, who zooms back in and tries to punch her again. Eren takes out her energy gun and starts firing rapidly at Cross, but to her dismay, they burn out near contact with her, causing Eren to get grabbed and quickly engulfed in flames.
Violet: Eren!
She tries to rush in to save her, but Fox gets in her way.
Fox: Let's focus on your safety right now. She’ll be fine.
He escorts Violet away as Cross watches the smoke in the area Eren was in.
Cross: That attack should have burnt any normal person into a crisp… but you’re not normal, are you?
The smoke clears, revealing a barely fazed Eren. She smiles as she dusts her sweater off.
Eren: Welp. It’s been 3 minutes and I already figured out your flaw.
Cross looks at her expectantly.
Eren: You see, there was a delay when I made contact with you. And then I got burnt, unlike when the bullets got near you, they immediately burnt up… so…
Eren holds her hands up and charges up a large energy beam and blasts it at Cross, who creates the barrier once again to make the attack burn out but… in the middle of the blast, Eren cuts through and punches him square in the jaw. Sending him into a wall.
Eren: You have two barriers. One for physical attacks, and another for awakening attacks. And it looks like you can’t use them both at the same time…
Cross wipes the blood off his mouth and slumps forward and looks up. His eyes are completely greyed out without a hint of Jewel’s eyes anywhere.
Cross: You’re the first to die.
Eren: I’d like to see you try.
The two shoot their respective abilities at each other, causing them to clash and create a huge explosion, shaking the entire castle. Meanwhile, Heather, Topaz, and Spark meet up with Violet and Fox.
Spark: Where’s Eren?
Fox: She’s dealing with Cross. Where’s your sister?
Spark: Somewhere around here. Let's go.
The 5 run up the stairs in a frantic hurry until they spot her. She was just sitting there, wiping blood off her sword.
Spark: There you are, sis! What happe-
Spark suddenly stops cold and sees Quinn’s body, pinned to the wall by crystal spikes, blood coming out of her arms and legs as her head is slumped over.
Spark: Jesus christ what happened here?!
Heather looks at Quinn in shock and tries to get her out, but Mercury holds out her hand and takes out her notebook and writes something down.
Mercury: She’s been brainwashed. She’s alive and she won’t bleed out.
Heather: Oh thank goodness… Topaz can you take her
Topaz: M’kay

Topaz grabs Quinn and puts her over her shoulders.
Topaz: Oof… They’re heavy…
Heather: Alright let's make it to the top, guys.
The 5 nod and and follow her up to the top. Meanwhile, Matt was absolutely beating the shit out of Joseph, pulling no punches. Joseph stumbles to his feet while Matt slaps him across the face, then hitting him with his elbow, followed by an uppercut, and then finally grabbing his leg and slamming him into the ground.
Matt: Alright. Where’s Cross and Violet?
Joseph: Hah! Like I’d ever tell you!
Matt: Your deathwish.
He stomps on his back, causing the ground beneath them to break and fall to the lower floor, where the others were. The six looked at him with shock as he picks up Josephs unconscious body
Spark: Holy shit dude.
Matt: Oh hey Guys.
He says dusting himself off. It doesn’t seem like he took any damage from that fight at all. Violet perks up and runs towards Matt and hugs him dearly.
Violet: MATT! I’M SO SORRY I LEFT YOU I’LL NEVER DO IT AGAIN I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU!!
Matt: Woah woah calm down Violet, I missed you too but man…
Violet laughs softly as she falls onto her knees and puts a hand on her head.
Violet: Ow… I’m feeling lightheaded… Maybe it’s because of all the blood I lost from these couple hours…
Matt: Don’t worry, hon. We’ll get you home and I’ll take you to a hospital.
Violet nods as she slumps towards Matt and the two walk out of the castle. Outside, Eren was waiting with an unconscious Jewel being held by the collar with one hand.
Eren: Hey guys.
Heather: Eren! What is wrong with you? That's a child!
Eren: Okay one, this is Cross. And two, I didn’t hurt her that badly. She just sort of lost consciousness mid fight.
Heather sighs in relief as they place her next to Joseph’s body. Just then… Quinn starts to wake up
Quinn: Wha- where am I… where’s Lady Heather and Lin Lin?
Matt and Mercury stand on guard as they look around.
Quinn: Oh! Matt, you got your wife back? Did you teach that false god a lesson or two? Also why does my body feel like shit
The two lower their guard.
Matt: Quinn... What's your thoughts on Cross?
Quinn: Well I obviously hate em. He tried to put a wedge between true love, and that's a terrible thing to do.
Matt turns to Mercury and shrugs.
Matt: Yeah that's them.
Quinn: Also what happened? I ate a piece of candy and I blanked out?
Matt: Candy… Wait, you still have the wrapper?
Quinn nods and hands the wrapper to Matt.
Matt: Yo, Fox take a look at this.

Fox walks over and takes the wrapper and examines it… he then nods to himself and turns to the others.
Fox: This right here? This was Cross’s main way of brainwashing. And according to Angel, another one was communication with mass amounts of brainwashed cult members. Fortunately none of us talked to anyone here other than that blonde haired girl.
Topaz: I don’t go outside much…
Quinn: Wait where’s Lin Lin?
The sound of high pitched screaming is heard from afar as Quinn glances at Heather.
Quinn: I think I found her…
Heather is about to go, but Quinn gets up.
Quinn: No, Lady Heather. I’ll go get her myself.
Topaz is about to perk up but she doesn’t know how to put what she wants to do in words, but Quinn could tell what she was thinking.
Quinn: You can come too, Topaz.
Topaz: R-really? I won’t drag you down?
Quinn: No of course not! Let's go!
Topaz takes a bow to Heather and runs to catch up with Quinn. Heather smiles to herself as she watches them go off.
Heather: She really is like him…
Suddenly, the sound of groaning can be heard as Jewel gets up.
Jewel: Ow ow ow ow… A-am I back…?
Matt and Eren get on guard as they stare at the 14 year old girl.
Matt: Alright, Cross. You can end this now or we’ll get Fox to force you out.
Jewel looks at them confused and scared. She cowers into a corner and curls up into a ball.
Jewel: P-please don’t hurt me I- I just want to go home…
The two don’t back down as they keep themselves on guard. Jewel starts to cry, but her tears are evaporated by the fire barrier around her.
Jewel: JUST LEAVE ME ALONE! PLEASE GO AWAY!
A burst of fire erupts from Jewel sending Matt and Eren flying as she runs away frantically. They turned back to Joseph’s body and realized he was also gone…
Matt: Damn it they both got away! What the hell do we do now…?
Fox closed his eyes and sensed the souls around him. Violet hugs Matt closely, still light headed, and whispers.
Violet: Dear… let them go. We can all go home together and meet up with the kids.
Matt thinks about it and is about to hug her back but a sudden yell from Fox makes him jump.
Fox: MATT GET AWAY FROM HER NOW-
Matt is about to move but he’s suddenly impaled by Violet’s arm, going straight through his chest. She starts to giggle… and then she laughs…
Matt: What in the-
Fox: That's not your wife… that's not her laughter…

She pulls out of his chest, causing him to fall back onto Eren and Heather, who quickly catch him. They glance back at Violet, whose voice has completely changed into Cross’s and his eyes are pure grey, similar to what happened to Jewel before. Cross sighs and dusts off the kimono as he smirks at Matt.
Cross: So we meet at last… Kingsman.
