If it makes you feel any better, Valentine's Day was originally just February 14th, where two people both names Saint Valentine got slaughtered by the Catholic Church.

It was also a day where men would have women line up and the women should get whipped and f**ked because it was believed it would "help their fertility".

So the celebration of love on this day is highly ironic.
