a large portion of the old testament rules were thrown out by the new testament, and people get confused because there are "conflicting parts" where really its just some things may not be valid anymore, like circumcision being a requirement for example

Also the ceremonial and civil laws of Leviticus aren't binding to Christians anymore, only the moral laws, such as the Ten Commandments
