don't worry dude you can just try my way, but you have to get a ingrown toenail, get a doc to remove it (they'll numb first and then cut it out) and maybe if you're lucky enough they will make you stay at home for a few days to let your toe heal. sure you may have to walk funny but either way you don't gotta go.
