Because its not easy, cost money (which some do not have) and it takes a lot to LIVE here legally. So their only option to come here illegally. (Its is bit more complex than that but that is the basics.)

They come here because they can live better life here than their own country. Why don't their country help them? IT is because the government might not have the money to help their people, or the goverement might have the money but they are corrupt and keep all of themselves. There also some other reason why but those are a bit harder to explain.
