You need movement

You walk into a room. You forget why you were in said room, so you go back into the other room, then remember why you were going into that room, and you go back in. Repeat until tired, then sleep.

You are doing your schoolwork and then you are like "I forghot to play my ukulele" (or whatever) and after you play the ukulele you forget about your schoolwork and are unproductive.
