Idk I just feel like it wasn't nearly as good as some of Stephen kings other books. It felt like half the plot was abt how gay is ok and idc if there's gay characters but why did it need to be half the plot

thats the plot to almost everything nowadays and I can't stand it
like I can watch shows with multiple gay ppl if it's not the point of the show
but if it's the entire point it's just annoying

but yeah Stephen King has gone down that road

I believe he actually was trying to argue that Trump being shot was an argument for why no American citizens should have guns

I also just read another book, "keep this to yourself" from Tom Ryan and the main character is gay and has a boyfriend but the book isn't all abt his sexuality, it's literally like a straight relationship but with 2 guys like they're not telling everyone how gay is amazing and pressing the writers beliefs. It's still an amazing murder mystery, def one of my favorite books

That argument is really wild when you learn that the government couldn't even decrypt the shooter's phone which means he himself could have had government help or terrorist help, meaning banning guns would have accomplished nothing there anyway

but yeah, banning guns won't stop criminals bc it's the people who use them that are the problem, not the guns. All banning guns accomplishes is giving the government more control bc the people cannot defend themselves. Then one president could just up and decide he's dictator for life and send militia on anyone who disagrees and there won't be anything we could do about it

That legit just happened in a Venezuelan election, the president was losing for a long time and then waited until he had a lead for 2 seconds and then stopped the counting by running armed militia inside the voting booths and terrorizing everyone and then he assumed power again

Venezuela has been a dictatorship for a while but they've still held totally-not-rigged elections
This one however, the ppl had gotten so over it that the guy was gonna lose in a landslide so he resorted to that 💀

Omg I didn't even think abt wild animals, that's so scary. I can't imagine seeing a mountain lion or smth outside and just having to hope it does catch me 😭😭. Then it would also affect hunting and that would mess with the amount of animals in a certain area and totally screw up a balanced ecosystem
