A nice detail I noticed in gta vice city which is set in 1986; In the game undercover cops chase you with this car, and it only has one side mirror. Back in the day, some cars had one side mirror and their owners bought the other themselves. When they're used by undercover cops however, no cop would bother buying with their own money so undercover cop cars would have one side mirror.
