His motives are that, he WANTS to rule over the entire universe, mainly to aid and prolong stars and planets survival, as his home world Corrella died out due to age. He made a big discovery which is that if a star and/or planets get a continuous energy flow, they will not die out and have a prolonged existence. Due to this, he created a planet sized metal core known as The Dyson Sphere, as a part of Project Prometheus. This Dyson Sphere would act as a near infinite conduit of energy, which it provides enough energy and power to all the suns and planets of the universe. How it works is that that core inside requires a kind of energy the very strong OCs of bossfights has. Mainly being Collector, Xerxes, Nova, etc. After the energy is siphoned willingly or by force, the energy is then recycled a bit into a continuous energy flow, which it then makes enough energy for the many stars and planets. However, he has a issue. He needs these characters energy to make the Dyson Sphere work. And 9 times out of 10, they wont comply with him. So in order to make it work, he tries to lure them all to a location via destruction. Which then, he tells them about the plan and asks to help him. If they don't comply, he will respond by force. However, he also recognizes that Earth is pretty much the home of all of his enemies, and so, he wants to possibly destroy Earth to get rid of the big threat, because in his eyes, the sacrifice of one planet for the trillions of others is worth it.
