As a member of R&B duo "Sam and Dave" and an integral contributor to the Stax
Records legacy, his impact upon classic Soul Music cannot be overstated.
On a personal note, while recording as "The Gangsta of Love", in 1994 I used an
interpolation of the Sam and Dave masterpiece "Hold On, I'm Comin'" for a demo recording.
