can you do the same thing but with garry's mod or nah?

garry's mod works best bought off steam since the workshop is a huge part of the game but i can get the vanilla game itself i think

if i wanted to install mods can't i just i get mod files and put it in the source of the game similarly how you can install sound-fonts into musescore?
