Okay, the basics:
To post on some streams(including this one) you have to have 10000 points and/or been on the site for 30 days.This is to stop spam and bots.

You can earn points by commenting, posting, upvoting/downvoting other’s posts and getting upvotes on your posts. Posting and getting upvotes in yours posts are the most effective ways of getting points.

If you go into settings, you can can customise your icon, change what you get notified for, change your tagline and change your username.

Memechat is essentially DMing and is represented by the mail icon next to your notifications. You can chat with users that follow you there. For example, since I follow you, if you go to my profile there is another mail icon next to the block button. Pressing it takes you to memechat. The mail icon only shows if they follow you.
