Also, this meme kinda suggests that a "president" is a good and honorable thing.

call me crazy, but i still see good in presenting it to young people that way.

Maybe when the population and the power of the presidency was smaller, but now they age twice as fast and get and average of 6 hours of sleep a night, which is scientifically proven to reduce the quality of decision making. It's bad for both the country and the office holder. IMHO the U.S. presidency is dangerously obsolete and the office should be abolished. Plural executives and distributed power are the way(S) of the future.

i sit on a lot of committees, and committee decisions are usually poor compromises that result in average results. so i would say that our goal might better be to renovate the political structure so that more qualified people want to be leaders.

I'm not necessarily suggesting committees, but perhaps multiple presidents or governors executing different functions for different areas. Ultimately I believe a federalized world government with separation of powrrs is necessary to prevent human extinction, but one person cannot be in charge of so much area unless their powers are severly limited. Holarchy/holocracy.
