If you start from Genesis, the first book, it'll become obvious that these laws are specifically for the Jewish people once you get to these books. That's why they should read from the beginning instead of opening a random book, that's all I'm saying

Seems weird that you would make an entirely different version of something apparently after the texts of the old testament were written and call the old ones barbaric. Seems to me like the old texts were seen as ridiculous at a point and they had to change it to make it make more sense

It's just that since Jesus died and rose from the dead, we were freed from those laws. And I agree that some of those laws were kinda weird, no wonder so many got repealed

But I thought they were always the word of God? Isn't God also supposed to be this perfect infallible being? How could such a being have conveyed something to people that weird, only for those things to be hastily rewritten?
