in america, the age of consent and age where you can send photos are different. possessing inappropriate pictures of a person under the age of 18 is illegal in all US states

whereas AOC is 16 in most US states
which i think is bullshit but thems the laws
(there are restrictions about age gaps at that age for sexual activity, e.g. a 32 yr old and a 16 yr old is illegal, while usually a 16 and 18 yr old is legal)

I feel like in that case anything above 18 f**king a 16 year old is weird and messed up (but ffs just wait until you both 18 or the same age or smth)

that would certainly be preferable
