Basically a ghost was haunting this lake and was drowning people. There's a scene of a woman in her bath tub and it nearly drowned her. I can't do cold water because it remind me of lake water. Best way to explain it.

He was a kid that got drowned in the lake so he started targeting the kids that drowned him (that were adults by then) and their families. It didn't stop until the last person that drowned him committed suicide.
