How in the world does the verse above prove unconditional election? God foreknew who would respond in faith to Jesus when they were called so He gave Jesus those whom He foreknew who would receive Him & in; not being bound by time like man & with foreknowledge He knows they will respond. Second part of this verse shows free will. The Father sealed those eternally whom He knew would receive Him in their temporal lives by their choice.
