then why is it propped up in any sanctum where Islam is the main/total control of the state?

Because the us funded these extremist groups to fight the soviets and they took over the middle east, plus religious movements taking over the more left leaning islamic countries at the time, a lot of factors

and then the russians and Iranians funded them to attack and attempt to destroy Israel
