the leaderboard isn’t one mil, it’s 950k.

I feel like it’d be more reasonable to lower it to 500k.

im not sure about facts. i do know the
top users' shown are currently selected for viewing up to a convenient rank.

i think you may be right in a thought about causing change. the selection could be up to a points value. id prefer 100K. but if company would go with 500K that would improve things.
