I haven't really gotten around to watching the new episodes so I didn't know if they threw away the initial vibe of fun colors and settings with unsettling aspects, just to go for some clickbaity spooky scaries. Thanks for letting me know they didn't do that, I'll probably watch the new ones soon

From what I learned there was one purely horror themed episode(Luigi mansion) and this one just had an unnerving one shot scene.

I saw it and it's not actually horror oriented
and it's also kinda supposed to be adult emotional issues
the horror is used a little sure
that one episode was made "scary" for an in universe reason
that scary image on the right is just how ragatha (who was seemingly high out of her mind at the time) saw gangle (who was being an meanie tweaker)
