If I had a nickel for every time I had fallen in love with a traumatised character from animated children's media who had undergone a satisfying recovery arc; only to have my love for them soured by the third instalment in their respective franchises dumping tons of extra trauma on them and not taking time to actually explore it and instead rushing them to a happy ending; Then I'd have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but still its kinda sad that its happened twice
