I just really want you to know since she is new to the drama and is making sure the statements are legit since she never got any evidence because she never was in it until now. She just got explanations with no proof in which word of mouth is usually biased so she is making sure it's again, legit. Just saying, let's not support the harassment of someone new to the drama just asking for proof since they can't just believe everything they are simply told. The explanations with no evidence and proof so far when they are the first details you received about the drama are just going to scream out "trust me, bro." Making sure they were not biased was all she was doing. She was doing the right thing. She was also of course listening. It's just that you guys had been bullying her and calling her stupid for just asking questions instead of giving her alot of proof and evidence. She asked for a bunch of answers, not slanders.
