Normally, my substitute would be a teacher who had been our class’ teacher on a previous year. This is because my cohort had lasted for a long time, since first grade, when the school first opened. This is my ninth year in this school, and I’m a high school freshman now.
A day with a sub normally starts like this: if the absent teacher is one who normally does get to school, we celebrate before the sub arrives, and when he/she does, we are requested to open our school’s media site to open the work our teacher sent us. Most of the students would finish the work and then play unblocked games - one boy even has Geometry Dash on his Mac!
For girls like myself, we would finish the work and then either start gossiping or playing this dumb game called “Smash or Pass”, and I call it dumb because me and 6 other girls don’t see the appeal. Four of the aforementioned group are best friends and would banter with each other, the fifth and sixth watch either watch Shorts or TikToks (neither are TikTok girls, thankfully), and I jam to music and zone out.
