Calamity chapter 1: Fallen Savior

killmote after witnessing matt acting like this before this story was published, yet not telling matt's friends about it since they would not believe her, as she looks and acts like a joke oc(...the amount of lore i have for chip is ...a lot, to say the least), making it seem like that she was saying was non canon, making them ignore it, yet it is canon:...i still made the right choice

First step.
The street crashers watch from through the TV at the horrors in west city
Second step.
Fox looks at the screen worried for the first time in a while
Third step.
The screaming of citizens can be heard throughout the city.
Fourth step.
A man was walking down the streets, destroying everything in its way. Its emotionless stare shows a sign of no remorse, however it also shows a sign of unconsciousness. After a while, the man turns to the camera, feeling it was being watched. There was no mistake, the man in the camera was Matt Kingsman. The TV flickers off as Eren stares at the empty screen, her eyes completely open.
Eren: Yep… that's him.
Spark: Shit… what the hell happened?
Fox: I’ll tell you what.
He says, leaning against a wall with Angel next to him, handing her a cigarette.
Fox: Mania happened.
Eren: Wait, I heard you talk about this before… The Kingsman secret?
Fox: Yep. Matt’s dad used it on me a long time ago. However this one seems more destructive than usual… I don’t think we’ll be able to just stop it.
He gets up from the wall and puts on his hat.
Fox: Everyone, prepare for the biggest battle of your lifetime. Except you, Violet.
Violet looks shocked
Violet: What? Why me?
Fox: Do you remember? You’re not in the shape to fight.
Violet: B-But Matt!
Fox: You’re pregnant. I’m not letting you out there and that's final.
Violet sighs with a small pout as Eren and the rest of the street crashers prepare. And then they realize one small child is following them. Mercury picked up Rose who was waving her sword around.
Rose: Hey! Let me go!
Mercury shook her head, wanting the protect the small child, but Fox nodded
Fox: Let her go, Mercury. She’s going to be our key player.
Mercury stares at Fox, about to scold him on child endangerment, but starts coughing out blood, worrying Spark.
Spark: sis! Did you forget again?
Mercury nods as she gets back up as Rose dusts herself off.
Rose: I found out how to control that mania thing, so I think I can help with dad!
Eren: That's great and all but…
She turns to Fox
Eren: Dad, Rose is 12… we can’t just put her in a life or death scenario.
Fox: Why not? I’ve done the same with you and Matt before, and Rose is actually able to do more than you guys do.
Eren: That's fair… but she’s still just a child.
Fox: …Eren, how many times has she been hurt
Eren: Like… 4 times only- okay I see your point.

After getting her some medicine, Spark and Mercury head out with Eren and Fox. Violet stares at the TV and turns it back on, watching the carnage unfold from the person she calls her husband.
Violet: Matt… please come home soon…

Meanwhile, Venus was cleaning up the register, and getting ready to close up for the night when she remembered something. She went to the TV and turned it on. With a click of a button, Venus watched the West City incident in motion. She stared at Matt, destroying everything without a care in the world. This isn't him. This isn't the man who told her all of his problems and tried to help others with theirs. After some thinking, Venus took out a phone and started dialing a number. She went to a contact labeled “Cata” and pressed the call button. After some silence, Venus talked to the person behind the phone.
Venus: hello? Cataclysma? …teach me.
Back at West City, the team set up in the middle of the streets. The city is empty and the buildings are a wreck… broken glass scattered the sidewalks with no trace of life. Spark looked around at the sight and nodded to himself before going to Eren.
Spark: Eren? What's the plan once Matt gets here?
Eren: okay, I'm thinking that Dad is going to use his soul manipulation on Matt and then-
Fox: Eren. Say that again.
Eren: uh… okay so Dad is going to use his soul manipulation on Ma- oh nevermind.
Fox: as for the plan… I need you guys to hold him off for now… I gotta talk to a certain black Armored conqueror.
Fox says as he takes out a phone and dials a number
Fox: Persephone. Teleport me.
In a flash, Fox was gone. And the four were left there on their own.
Spark: So I guess we have to wait…?
Eren: Yeah, pretty much. Let's hope everything goes well until-
Rose: DAD!
Everyone turns around and sees a figure walking towards them in the distance. A man covered in a black and red aura walked towards them, each step sending a chill down the street crashers. Matt continued to walk towards them until their eyes locked onto Rose. After a moment of silence, Rose dashes towards Matt with her katana and starts slashing at him, but the silent force of nature just blocks the attacks with only a finger. In disbelief, Rose backs away, but Matt closes the gap between them and throws a right hook, followed by one from the left, and continues to pummel his own daughter until Mercury fires a crystal shard to distract him. Matt turns to Mercury and then kicks Rose into a pond.
Eren: Rose!

She says as she runs to the pond to check up on their 12 year old niece. Mercury took out a crystal sword, trying to block Matt’s attacks as Spark yelled his predictions on how he was about to attack next.
Spark: A right hook!
Mercury blocks a right hook from Matt.
Spark: An uppercut!
Another block. Spark smiles a bit… maybe they could hold him off until Fox gets back until… Matt grabs Mercury’s sword and snaps it in half, to the siblings' shock. Matt then backhanded Mercury into Spark, sending them crashing into a building next to them. Eren looked around in the pond to try and find Rose but she was nowhere to be seen. But then, the pond erupts, the water parting to reveal Rose in her mania form, laughing like a maniac as she dashes back to Matt.
Rose: I’m back, dad!
Matt turns around and is hit by Rose’s tackle, which sends the two of them hurling into a different part of the city, crashing into buildings and cars along the way. Matt tries to punch her again, but Rose grabs onto his arm, crawls onto it like a feral animal, takes out her katana, and starts slashing his face. She then scurried down, went behind Matt, jumped and spinned in the air before kicking him into another building. Mercury, who was getting back up, watched the fight and tapped Spark.
Spark: huh…? Oh- oh my god is that Rose?
Mercury nods
Spark: Wow she’s going crazy! I hope she can hold onto that form until then…
Matt and Rose continued matching blows until they clashed fists. The impact of the punches blasted Eren, Spark, and Mercury back, however Eren made an energy shield around Spark and Mercury to protect them… But this made Eren hit her head hard on the concrete… She started to regenerate herself but it’s going to take longer due to the head damage.
Eren: Rose! Are you okay there?
The only response was the sound of the child laughing as she continued to fight her father. This lasted for quite a while, with each of the sides getting the upper hand every now and then, until Rose knocked Matt onto his knees. She continued laughing as she wiped the blood off her blade and ran up to Matt, about to behead him, but the sound of Eren yelling at her from the distance.
Eren: Rose! What are you doing? Are you trying to kill him?
Rose: K-kill him? My dad?
She freezes as she drops out of her mania form and looks at her
Rose: Aw crap… I used my normal mania form instead of my control-

Rose was interrupted as Matt, who seems even stronger due to the damage from before, bashes Rose in the head and continues to pummel her.
Eren: Matt stop! That's your daughter!
Rose screamed in pain as every blow taken echoed across the city. Tears streamed down her face until one last kick was made on her neck, snapping it. Rose fell down with a small yet somber smile as Matt stared at her. Inside his mind, Matt stared at the sight of her daughter on the ground… he clenches his fist as he hears a voice behind him.
???: You’re still here?
Matt turns around and sees a kid who looks just like Matt, but with a white t-shirt and an emotionless stare
Matthew: I thought I told you to leave.
Matt: Not until I get back control and fix everything!
Matthew: …I can’t let you do that, Matt.
Matt: Why not?! You’re me! You should understand more than anyone else that what you’re doing is horrible! She was only 12!
Matthew: …that's where you’re wrong. I’m nothing like you. I despise you. I despise the life that should have been mine. I despise the friends and family that you made… and I’m going to make sure that you know exactly how I feel. Then you’ll become me.
Matt is about to counter, but he suddenly felt an arm grab him. The sound of static filling his ears as he’s dragged away from Matthew who just stares at him emotionlessly
Matthew: Goodbye, Matt Kingsman.
Back in the real world, Matt is about to crush Rose with his foot as Eren runs in to save her. Unfortunately, Matt noticed and tossed something at Eren, tangling her with some static like wires…
Eren: (in mind) I-I can’t move… What the hell? Matt never had this? And what's up with the static?
It seems like Rose would die a premature death until…
The sound of teleporting is heard as Rose is gone. Matt turns around and sees Abraham handing Rose to Spark and Mercury
Abraham: Careful with her…
Matt then hears the sound of multiple footsteps as a man wearing a suit walks in front of an army.
“Treat someone with kindness, and they’ll be kind to you. Share with others, and they will share with you. Risk your life for someone, and hopefully… just maybe… they’ll risk their life for you…”
Ladies and gentlemen, The Boss has entered West City.
The Boss: Everyone in position!
The agents yell as they all aim their guns at Matt, who just stares at them. In response, Matt screams as rocks and other debris crash around him. This was just what the boss needed to see as he smirks.

The Boss: I recognize that yell… you want someone to save you, don’t you, Kingsman!
