Chapter 11: The solution. (Epilogue will be out soon!)

I looked at the two lambs, thanking them again. Lamby looked around, scanning the area for more corrupted people. When he saw that everyone else was safe, he looked back at Me and Lamia.

Lamby: “All clear, folks. For now, I guess. I can still sense that some are not very far away.”

Mayu: “Oh, good.”

I walked up to River, extending a hand to help him get on his feet. He grabbed him, hopping up.

River: “Is… is Rozzy okay?”

Mayu: “Well… if by okay, you mean half corrupted-”

River: “Yeah, she’s okay. Roswald’s pretty strong and according to my calculations, is in fact able to resist it. Now, if it was fully, she’s done for.”

Woah, this kid’s a nerd. I like him a bit more already. Scout and Hunter got up, and I looked at them.

Mayu: “Listen, there’s 4 more people I need to find for the prophecy now. Those kids named the gear gang, or whatever. And… a person I already have with me? I don’t know who that is. But, I’ll find out soon enough.”

After a few minutes of searching, we found two other kids. One with a hat, and one with goggles on. Their names were Mylo and Autumn, but they go by Hat Kid and Goggle Kid. Turns out the 3rd one was Wynter, who was also called Bow Kid. I decided to find out who exactly this person was, you know, the one that was somehow already with me. But not before I saw something in the sky. The space parasite was there, and it looked like it was infecting innocent citizens. I had to hurry, because what if my friends were next? That’s when Scout tapped me on the shoulder.

Scout: “Mayu? I gotta tell you something.”

Mayu: “Yeah, Scout?”

Scout: “I know the last person in the prophecy! I know who it is!”

Mayu: “Is it you?”

Scout: “Well, no. It’s not. But it’s-”

The space parasite roared. The team suddenly came outside to look at it. Maxime, who I haven't heard talk for quite some time, spoke up.

Maxime: “Is this it? Is it finally it? The… final fight?”

River: “According to my calculations, it might be. But… it won’t be easy.”

Roswald, whose voice was slightly distorted: “Ya think? We don’t need calculations to tell us that this is gonna be hard! I mean, look at all those corrupted citizens!”

There were about… 50-60 corrupted citizens, and it looked like Aquatix and her sibling were fighting them off. You remember Aquatix’s brother, Splashii? Yeah, I don’t either. Was he always here? Anyways, it wasn’t the time to be questioning reality, we had to fight! The other thing we saw near the parasite was.. Mayor Stellar. His face, of course, was corrupted, and he looked smug.

Mylo: “Hey, that’s my signature face! He can’t do that!”

Stellar heard what she said, and rolled his eyes.

Stellar: “Well, I just did.”

Mayu: “You know what, let’s just get this over with. CHARGEEE!”

Everyone started to fight. Nami was doing… whatever he was doing, while Baggy was scaring off some of the citizens with her axe of fear. Mylo double jumped, attacking people with her umbrella. It didn’t look that strong, but judging by the number of people that were actually getting bruises from it… it must have hurt. A LOT. The two lambs summoned their weapons fromtheir crowns, and slashed at citizens, which cut the goop off of their faces. Pretty much everyone was fighting, and my side was winning. But the parasite kept causing the knocked out citizens to get back up, the goop on their faces coming back. Roswald and River worked together using this power called toon force. They were… surprisingly strong for however old they were. I decided to take on the parasite. I found an opening within the fight, and I went through, eventually getting close to the space parasite. But at that moment, Malice stepped in front of me.

Malice: “Not so fast, sister. You aren't getting anywhere near my boss.”

Me and Malice began fighting as she lunged at me. While fighting, I noticed that Aquatix was playing a song with her band to give us a bit more motivation. I was able to dodge, throwing a few ninja stars at her. One of them got on her horns, and she winced. She jumped at me again, taking out a dagger and aiming it at my stomach. Instead, she slashed my arm, which made me wince. We continued fighting each other, getting a bit less and less energetic. I threw another ninja star at her, which actually ended up hitting Stellar, who was in the middle of fighting Nami and Baggy. He was knocked unconscious, and he’d be like that for about… 10 hours. Malice, noticing he was down, glared at me.

Malice: “YOU’LL REGRET DOING THAT, MAYU!”

She aimed a dagger at me again, about to slash me, but was hit by a fireball. It knocked her out, and i looked to see who threw it. It was X.

X: “I saw you were in a bit of a pickle, so I decided to pitch in and help.”

Mayu: “Thanks, X! Two down, one to go.”

I looked at the parasite, then at X. He understood what I meant, and began attacking the parasite. Nami pitched in and helped, while Scout built a blaster and shot it at the parasite. Maxima pitched in along with her brother. She said it took a while, but had convinced him to fight with us. It was getting weaker with each attack, and it looked like we were winning. But, it just… regenerated health. It felt like something, or someone, was missing. And Scout noticed this immediately.

Scout: “Marshal!”

I didn’t understand why she was saying my brothers name of all names. She shouted it again, and that’s when I realized. It was him. The final one on the prophecy. The one I had with me this whole time. Marshal, who had been holding a bat, suddenly rushed up to where we were, knocking out the infected townspeople as he did so.

Marshal: “Sis! I’m here!”

And with that, we kept throwing stuff at the parasite. Marshal attacked the parasite with his horns and hit it with his bat. Nami attacked it with his basic but effective water attack. Scout used her blaster again, landing powerful blows on the parasite. X basically did what he does best, and Maxima used her fists of steel and punched the parasite. Marshal’s attacks were the ones that did the most damage, though. Finally, the REAL final blow needed to be landed.

Scout: “It’s all on you, Mayu!”

Marshal: “Yeah! Go, sis!”

And so… that’s what I did. I lunged at it, piercing it with my ninja stars. And then… Everything went dark.---

I woke up a few hours later, Marshal and an uncorrupted Malice standing over me. When they saw I was okay, they were relieved.

Mayu: “Where is everyone?”

Malice: “Oh, they’re on the beach. And… thanks for defeating the parasite.”

Mayu: “Anytime, sis. Oh, and I just remembered something.”

From my pockets, I took out a plush of Oyster from Stainfilm 3, and Malice’s plushie of herself. I made sure to always hang on to it in case we ever found her again. Malice looked at them and took it, looking at me with an even more thankful expression on her face.

Malice: “You kept em..? Just for me?”

Malice hugged me before running off to go do whatever. Marshal ran after her, leaving me to rest. After a while of resting and everyone else hanging out, it was time to finally go back to our hometown. Scout finished building another portal as the ones who came with us went back inside it. I said my final goodbyes to Matt, Violet, Roswald, River, and basically everyone else we were with. After Marshal went in the portal, it was finally mine and Scout’s turn. But before I went in, I looked at X.

Mayu: “Come visit me sometime in Startropolis, wont ya?”

X: “I will. It was nice knowing you though, Mayu!”

I hugged him before I went back to the portal.

Scout: “You ready, Mayu?”

Mayu: “Yeah.”

And we went off into the portal together before eventually… it closed.

I read bat and thought the animal so I thought Marshall was like punching ppl while his bat flew around and knocked ppl out, and then I read THAT HE USED THE BAT TO HIT PEOPLE AND THE IMAGE THAT CAME TO MIND WAS HIM HOLDING THE BAT AND PUNCHING SOMEONE WITH IT LIKE WINGED BRASS KNUCKLES-

Hmm... *"accidentally" hits the canon button* whoops! My fingers slipped!!

The subtle fourth wall break questioning the sudden appearance of a new character is just-

X:

Mayu: "You're still gonna visit me, right?"

X: Definitely

Mayu: "Yay!"

X: *hug*

Mayu: *hugs back*
