The bell rings, and the arena is filled with anticipation. Red, ever the silent and calculated assassin, immediately takes to the air, flying above Juno to get the high ground. With a flick of their wrist, they summon flames, sending a wave of fire crashing down toward Juno. The heat is intense, but Juno’s reflexes kick in, and they quickly roll to the side, narrowly dodging the flames.
But Juno is not fazed. With a quick tug of their blaster, they fire a blast directly downward, sending themselves into the air, narrowly avoiding Red’s next fiery assault. As they rise, Juno lets out a string of alien curses, shaking their head at the barrage of fire, but using the moment to distract Red. The blaster projectiles strike with precision, forcing Red to backpedal.
Red, not one to be shaken, adjusts mid-air, evading the blasts with ease. They swiftly draw a set of blades and throw them with deadly accuracy. Juno, too distracted by their antennae twitching and fidgeting, is caught off-guard by one of the blades, but their alien agility lets them twist just enough to avoid the worst of it. Still, the blade grazes their arm, causing a small but painful wound.
Juno, clearly growing agitated, launches a series of mind-bending musical notes from their body, sending out a pulse of cognitive dissonance toward Red. The air vibrates with the disorienting sound waves, attempting to throw off Red’s concentration. But Red’s undead nature gives them a resilience against cognitive attacks. With no real mind to confuse, Red merely shrugs off the attack and counters with a sudden burst of fire, sending a wall of flame toward Juno. The heat and force of the flames make it hard for Juno to dodge completely.
In the air, Juno’s distraction catches up with them. While flying and fidgeting, they fail to notice Red’s well-aimed strike, and a well-timed explosion of fire knocks Juno off balance. Unable to regain full control, Juno plummets back to the ground with a thud. Their blaster is knocked from their hand as they struggle to stand, visibly shaken from the fiery impact.
The Verdict:
Despite Juno’s ability to distract and disorient, Red’s mastery of combat and undead resilience ultimately wins the day. The assassin’s precision, combined with their firebending and flight, proved to be too much for Juno, who struggled to keep up due to their fidgeting and distracted nature.
Winner: Red!
