Gas Mask Man has three methods.
G.1: Being bitten by a Destroyed Drone has done much to him, but one thing that is staying like that scar are bloodless hallucinations, which start appearing when he's near death. These hallucinations are only around with the intention of inducing panic attacks. There's no idea when to predict when it'll happen, but he eventually will go over the 200 BPM limit, and drop to the floor.
G.2: Like UO, Gas Mask can run for long periods of time at the cost of higher BPM. The highest BPM he can get is 174, so stopping at any point is essentially suicide if nobody is there to help.
G.3: If there's anything true about the horrors of war, it's that anything that you see could be able to pull you back to the battles you fought, and Gas Mask is no exception. Mercenaries don't do this, but being in apocalyptic cities, forests during the winter, or even hearing distant roads will be enough to pull him to a past he wishes to avoid. He will run off, but he eventually does drop, no matter how long he runs or where he goes.
