Classic cars are great dude. A Ford truck would be nice on a road trip, but the ultimate road trip cars are full-sized SUVs, lots of room for luggage and people. Chevy Tahoes/Suburbans, Cadillac Escalades, GMC Yukons, Ford Expeditions, Lincoln Navigators, Jeep Wagoneers, and Jeep Grand Wagoneers. My parents used to drive a 2005 GMC Yukon XL with pillow top seats, best road trip car ever, hands down. We never lacked room and we got over a 333,000 miles out of it, too.
