i think that in this country there are like probably 97% of people who are inherently okay and have good enough morals and shouldn’t need to be governed too well.
but there’s always gonna the 3% of people who are selfish assholes (like that one guy you mentioned) and i think they should be taken care of in some way, like have them get mandatory therapy or something.
i don’t think all humans are at fault for a lot of the objectively wrong things that we’ve done. most evil things done by corporate entities that are claimed to be proof that humans are inherently bad are literally done because we have a person who is a psychopath and in that 3% at the top of the chain of command, with most of the employees carrying out what they want being a part of the 97% who just want to survive in society. psychopaths are naturally benefiting in society as a lot of them become CEOs or get in positions of power, since that’s what they thrive in.
this is still consistently evident in history as other objectively evil things like genocides have usually been caused by normal people following orders by one guy — who is therefore probably a psychopath.
