the only reason its still popular is because of its nostalgia, the whole show kept getting people to watch it because of the memes tracked back to it

literally all that happens as main plot is Goku yelling his lungs off just to get more powerful to beat an enemy

not to mention the lack of strategic fighting in the show. its just yell, fight, random plot item here, repeat
