I quite disagree. Me, as the smartest person alive and best demagogue ever should be the ruler of everything.

Genuinely, I believe I'd be the perfect ruler. I can learn fast, I listen to science, I'm the fastest person I know in terms of logical reasoning and I can accept my shortcomings (Idk how to treat people)

Exactly, you don't know how to treat people.

That's what advisors are for. I'm the smartest, which means I can accept advice about my shortcomings. That's what makes a great leader, as no one is perfect alone.

"I'm the Smartest". Narcissism. Amusing to be honest.

Not narcissism. At all. First of all, megalomania, narcissism implies a lack of self esteem under that ego. Secondly, I've found every person I've ever met extremely slow at reasoning. The assumption of me being the smartest has worked thus far, so until it is disproven, I'm using it as it's the most functional system I've found.

I then have two questions.
1) How do you objectively know that you’re good in these departments?
2) How do you objectively know that everyone else that you’ve met are bad in these departments?
0 ups, 1mo
1) IQ tests done by a licensed professional
2) If you were in my position, you'd also know, having to guide people while they struggle through logical chains you do on the blink of an eye, telling them to reread stuff bc they misread them, being forced to repeat yourself bc someone has asked you the same question thrice and they genuinely need you to dumb it down for them... Going through all of that it's a clear indicator that I'm over most people. Also, I'm in the 99th percentile of intelligence so like... statistically, it's hard to find someone smarter than me.

"having to guide people while they struggle through logical chains you do on the blink of an eye, telling them to reread stuff bc they misread them, being forced to repeat yourself bc someone has asked you the same question thrice and they genuinely need you to dumb it down for them..."

Is it possible for you to give me an example of a question, or something similar to a question that you've asked, that would typically prompt the people that you assist to ask you to reword and "dumb down" said question?
0 ups, 1mo
I kind of don't remember specific exaples. Like generaly when you make assumptions about people not needing certain intermediate steps, like for example, doig a matrix's determinant in your head (dumb example, but good analogy)
0 ups, 1mo,
1 reply
How many people have you even met recently to come to that conclusion? How good are your priors?
0 ups, 1mo
As I said, it isn't "recently", it is "through my whole life". I've never met anyone who was able to reason as fast as me, and with your reading comprehension, you don't seem like you're gonna change anything.

you shouldn't judge people's intelligence based on how well they know a specific kind of math. there are plenty of smart people in the world for example that don't know differential calculus, but that doesn't automatically mean that they're stupid for that.

likewise, most individuals don't know how to do matrix determinants (including me, who is literally in the 98th-99th percentile of IQ!) that well, so i don't think you can properly judge someone for being objectively dumb for asking you to dumb down a question pertaining to matrix determinants.
0 ups, 1mo
As I said, dumb example, nothing came to mind.
It's just the inability to skip step and the rigidity of methods. Like the "two trains problem" in which there are 2 trains going towards esch other, one is going twice as fast as the other, ok? And I know people that need to do all the maths to get to that point, they can't reason "taking the slower train's speed as the unit, the other train's speed is 2. Thus, the trains will meet at 2/3 of the road from the faster one and 1/3 from the other one. That's a better example.
Also, was your IQ tested by a licensed professional or online tests?

So when you mean “reason as fast as you”, you’re referring to human intuition, right?
0 ups, 1mo
Nope, not at all, logical reasoning. That's as far as intuition as you can get.
0 ups, 1mo,
1 reply
No I didn’t.

I first asked:
- What’s your sample size?

I then asked:
- Are you referring to human intuition?

I then asked:
- Why is reasoning fast important to you?

I then asked:
- How do you objectively know this, without bias?

I then asked:
- So misreading something is stupid to you?

ONLY ONE OF THOSE QUESTIONS — LET ME REPEAT, ONE (“Why is reasoning fast important to you?”) — EXPLICITLY FIT “Why do you think that is an important part of inteligence?”.

I DID NOT ASK THRICE.
0 ups, 1mo
Yeah, my bad. Misremembered. But still, the first question had already been answered with "everyone I've ever met". Second one is just extremely obvious that I don't mean that, like intuition is, by definition, not logical. Third question is uninformed, not lacking reading comprehension or logical thinking, so valid. Third one is a valid point: genuinely, there is bias, I ain't passing an IQ test to everyone I talk to, but as I said, the assumption works, I still try to act respectful and not condescending, so I ain't changing it (if it isn't broken, don't fix it). And the answer to the last one is too long an recent to retry here.

That’s just wrong. I asked you to clarify on things not necessarily pertaining to that. I did not ask you to “dumb it down” for me three times. Don’t insult my intelligence.
0 ups, 1mo
You asked the same question thrice (Why do you think that is an important part of inteligence), I dumbed it down, thrice, you understood it at the third time. You may have not directly asked, but yk subtext exists, right?
0 ups, 1mo,

So misreading something is a quality of stupidity to you?
0 ups, 1mo
Yeah, tbh. Like it ain't a binary, but, for example, I've had to repeat that fast logical thinking is a criteria of IQ tests thrice for you to stop asking, and that's ridiculous.
0 ups, 1mo,
1 reply
Why is being speedily capable of logical reasoning so important to you? Why do you think that’s the best way of determining overall inteligence?
0 ups, 1mo
Because that's the scientific consensus. The criteria are pattern recognition, reading comprehension, logical reasoning and other two I don't have memorized.

The first question actually hadn't already been answered. Some people don't meet very many people in life. Others meet tons of people in life. I was asking for a general estimate, made by you, of how many people you meet. And I was also asking primarily if you think that you've met a more-than-average amount or a less-than-average amount of people in your life. Because I'm pretty sure this could then significantly affect your current conclusion on things. But it appears you don't see that.

Finally, how are you so certain that "the assumption works"? What confirms this to you?
0 ups, 1mo
Ok, I've met a lesser than average amout of people, I'd say, but it's pretty skewed, as I've assisted to several HAL support groups.
