Wow that sounds like a Catholic understanding with "Protestantee" language as a cover. The Calvinist understanding cheapens the substitutional atonement made by Christ into not much more than the animal sacrifices that represented the sin in the Old Testament. His death didn't just cover sin like a veil but; it satisfied God's wrath against sin & restored the Spirit to the soul. The soul must receive the gift. The ability for a relationship with man was made possible. He hates the sin in the soul but loves the soul & Christ's sacrifice gives man a chance to have Eternal Life & not lose their soul. God gets back more than He created originally. Calvinism gives sin too much power
