The Hill reports:

Democrats start to point fingers even as they hope for Harris win

Vice President Harris could win the presidential election next week. But fingers in Democratic circles are already being pointed behind the scenes, in the event that she falls to former President Trump.

While some Democrats say they are increasingly hopeful that Harris will win, others have expressed mounting frustration about a string of factors that have plagued the campaign from the outset…

“People are nervous and they’re trying to cover their ass and get a little ahead of Election Day,” one Democratic strategist said of the sniping. “It’s based on anxiety, stakes and the unique nature of this cycle.

“We didn’t have a traditional process for this election. We didn’t have a primary. People just had to fall in line,” the strategist added, saying “it’s not surprising to me” that some of the blame game is happening even before Election Day.

If Harris loses, “there will be a mad dash to assign blame,” the strategist added.

Amie Parnes seems to have developed a bit of a reputation for focusing on Democratic anxieties, doesn’t she? It feels like every election cycle or major political move brings out the same ‘Democrats in disarray’ headline from her. This kind of finger-pointing drama gets clicks, but it doesn’t always reflect what’s actually happening on the ground.

Of course, any high-stakes election stirs up some behind-the-scenes jitters, and people like Parnes are quick to amplify that. But one snippet of internal handwringing doesn’t mean there’s a tidal wave of chaos. Campaigns are messy, and some strategists love hedging their bets with the press to cover all bases.

Why should your wife have to tell you who they wanna vote for? Why should it matter if they don't vote how you vote?

The very thought that there's this idea that women are lying to men about who they vote for shouldn't raise questions about the women, but should raise questions about the men they're lying to. Sure, lying is bad, generally. (Voting is different) But why would a woman feel compelled to lie?

I'll give you a hint. It probably has nothing to do with the people who want to put more funding into medical care, espousing traditional gender roles of the stay-at-home wife who cooks, cleans, manages the kids, makes dinner while the man comes home and puts up his feet.

Probably nothing to do with that at all.

Charlie Kirk loses his mind that women would or could lie to men about who they vote for...

yeeeeaaaahhhhhhh…Kamala’s campaign are the ones who are telling women to lie to their husbands.
If you got a beef, it’s with her and her campaign, not men.

Fox News host Sean Hannity and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich recoiled with disgust over a Harris–Walz ad that encourages women to vote for the candidate of their own choosing – even if that means secretly voting differently from their husbands.

“How do you run a country where you’re walking around saying, ‘Wives should lie to their husbands. Husbands should lie to their wives’,” Gingrich said on Thursday evening’s episode of Hannity.

He added, “I mean what kind of a totally amoral, corrupt, sick system have the Democrats developed?”

So, vote for who you want.
"-... Even if that means secretly voting differently from their husbands."

Wonder why that has to be stipulated to women with MAGA husbands...?

One can only guess.

Harris is saying vote. She's repeatedly told women to vote for who they want.

To clarify: Gingrich was referring to a recent ad, featuring actor Julia Roberts, that subtly hints married women should not feel pressured to vote for the same candidate as their husbands. Though it does not expressly tell women to lie, it does remind people that voting is done individually and privately - as it should be.

The notion that men (or women) can buy the vote of their spouse through peer pressure is sick. Voting is private. That's why you can't take your wife or husband into the voting booth. Why don't you respect the privacy of the American Voter? Are you against the first amendment?
