There are many things that lack the support of scientific evidence that people believe as if it was their inherent nature. There is no way to truly determine that someone is a good person, it is entirely based in speculation and presumptions in traits that are deemed as normal in society.

"Science" is not the truth, science is attempting to find a theory that is closer and closer to the truth. Every scientific theory will eventually be proven wrong just like Newtonian gravity or believing that atoms are the smallest particles.
