You can't. Imagine a computer without a monitor. What would you see on its screen? Would you see black on the screen? No, because there's no screen. That's the closest you get to imagining "nothing"

I don't believe in souls so asking "what happens after you die" doesn't even makes sense. You (in the sense of your consciousness) simply does not exist once your brain is decomposed.

The commonly agreed upon stance in atheism is that nothing happens after death. No conscious thoughts, no going anywhere. You are simply erased from existence entirely once your corpse begins to fall apart. When you are only a skeleton, you are truly gone unless people remember who you were while you were alive and keep spreading stories about you.
