He was a Swiss boy during the Napoleonic wars, he grew up in Switzerland and grew close to the local priest. When the blight erupted his entire town disappeared except for him and Bertrand (the priest).

Bertram died during their evacuation of Leipzig and left Jaques his crucifix and bible which turned out would make him the chosen one by god to end the virus.
He later on had visions and could use the crucifix to deter zombies despite not being a priest.
He gained powers as nd eventually lead the 60 million soldier expedition into Germany to get to kaub where he fought Satan himself and won.
He was declared a saint after this and lived in a small wooden house on the peak of the tallest mountain in the alps where he was from there on refered to as "Saint Jaques of the War"
