Sort of true, but we are one of the only species that create our own destruction.
We've already chopped down a shitload of trees which produce oxygen for us, to build huge towers

1. theyre getting replanted
2. trees produce a very small percentage of earths oxygen
3. cities/skyscrapers are generally condensed into smaller areas, leaving more land for greenery than we would have if we were more spread out

We're still producing pollution that's only growing no matter how much we try to stop it

pollution is also not advancement.
we should ADVANCE biodegradable plastics, better filtration, larger prisons for factory managers who decides its cheaper to not avoid pollution, environmentally friendly ways to eliminate china and thus a huge percentage the worlds pollution

there are laws about how waste should be handled in production, but many countries either dont have them, or dont enforce them, and its cheaper for the companies to restrict their pollution
