Straight I have good reasoning.
Straights have sheer numbers over gays. Straights have advantage in this considering all of the countries in northwest hemisphere might have the most gays but it's still a minority. Second, toughened soldiers have been spending time fighting at war instead of fussing over their sexuality so straights have the stronger soldiers, tougher hit takers and braver risk takers. And if that's enough gays won't even dress accordingly they will be wearing "cute femboy uwu~" clothes meanwhile straights dress accordingly for fights.
