I'm trying to adjust my style because it's hard doing clean lineart with a mouse in my personal opinion, but yeah, I 100% agree with you lmao

yeah you use those sketchy lines to make the base shape, then you use a darker color to go over those sketch lines to clarify the sketch. The reason I didn't really get on your case about the palm of the hand is because hands actually just look like a bunch of scribbles. On another note, for the inside details of the hand, have something with less opacity to clarify that it's a detail, not a bruise or a scratch or something.
