i dunno what the artists behind the typical depiction of Jesus was back then but js saying there are many fully middle-eastern people that are white for the most part

there was multiple depictions of Jesus depicting him as middle eastern white, asian, black, etc.
the white depiction (aka the european depiction) became the most widely used because the spread of early Christianity began mostly in the mediterranean/southern europe
