The Aries War was a two year conflict between the nations of the Anti-Furry Russian Empire (AFRE) / Blue Russia (Basically not Anti-Furry but kept the name anyway) and the Anti-Furry Federation (AFF). It was located in Blue Russian Alaska (Known as the State of Pyotr) and AFF Yukon (Darwin Point. Now known as Northkalia, under Blue Russia).
The cause of this conflict was due to the 1990-1995 Revolution against the AFF, poor diplomatic relations, and opposition to each other's government. (AFRE being a Constitutional Monarchy, while the AFF being a Federal Presidential Republic)
Hostilities broke out in March 12, 1997 when the Anti-Furry Federation Ground Forces (AFFGF) attacked Ketchikan, but was unsuccessful due to poor strategy. The attack wasn't ordered by former president Farrhen Garrysworth, but led to the start of the Aries War. The Imperial Anti-Furry Russian Army (IAFRA), also known as the Blue Russian Army (BRA) responded with nothing but artillery fire, raids, and full scale attacks.
In May 23rd, 1998 - after the failure of the Rigel Campaign, it was the BRA's turn to launch an attack. Under multiple generals, like Mihaly Romanov, Dmitry Belenko, and Ilyich Brightman, the Blue Russians invaded Darwin Point. AFFGF defenses were heavy, but the BRA slowly made their advance through AFF lands. This was "Operation Aquarius", the infamous strategic offensive operation which took the lives of 246,000 soldiers and civilians from both sides.
In the final months of the war (It ended in December 23, 1999), the AFFGF launched a desperate counterattack on Blue Russian occupied cities of Aquila (Teslin), Rigel (Watson Lake), and Jericho (Whitehorse). The results were horrifying casualties, tragedies, broken families, and the loss of the AFFGF's will to fight. On December 23, the Federation declared a ceasefire, marking the victory of the House of Lermontov, the Blue Russians, and the Army.
