I think it's an evolutionary monkey brain thing, the thighs are close to the sex organ so humans are usually attracted to that area. I've also heard humans like wider hips as wider hips are usually linked to giving birth easier which pleases the baby wanting monkey brain, and hips and thighs are linked obviously
